Dance for the Young Child

 

dance for the young child From three years of age through the end of 1st grade, the teacher aims to stimulate young students with the love of dance and help them gain control of their bodies in the creation of shape, line, jumps, and leaps.  Creative, KinderBallet, and Primary work with rhythm and music to develop self expression and prepare for classical ballet.

Classes are held once a week for three age groups: pre-school (creative), kindergarten (kinderballet), and first grade (primary). 

Creative

Creative classes are for pre-schoolers who are 3 or 4 by September 1st. Attire for girls is a simple light blue leotard, pink footless or stirrup tights, and bare feet.  Attire for boys is a white T-shirt, black or blue shorts, and bare feet.  Choose from the following class times:

Tues   12:15 - 1:00

Tues   1:00 - 1:45

Tues    5:00 - 5:45

Sat     11:45 - 12:30

KinderBallet

KinderBallet classes are for children in kindergarten. Attire for girls is a simple light blue leotard, pink footless or stirrup tights, and bare feet.  Attire for boys is a white T-shirt, black or blue shorts, and bare feet.

Choose from the following class times:

Tues   4:15 - 5:00

Sat     12:30 - 1:15

Primary

Primary classes are for children in first grade. Attire for girls is a simple light blue leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.  Attire for boys is a white T-shirt, black or blue shorts, white socks, and black ballet shoes. Choose from the following class times:

Wed   4:30 - 5:30

Sat       9:30 - 10:30

Registration

There are two semesters per year, each 19 weeks long.  First semester starts September 4 and second semester starts January 28.  Early registration is advised to ensure enrollment in the desired class. Olympic Ballet School also accepts enrollments throughout the year, with class availability. Contact the office about mid-term entry.  There is an annual registration fee of $20 per student. Additional family members - $15.

TuitioN PLANS

  • Monthly Plan : This requires a first and last month initial payment and a minimum enrollment of eight weeks.  Tuition is $96.00 plus monthly payments of $48 after the first month.
  • Semester Plan : Full payment for each semester is $220. Payment due by the first class. This represents a 20% discount when the tuition is paid in full in advance.
  • Single or Trial Class: $14. We encourage new strudents to take trial classes. Fees for trial classes can be applied to tuition for the semester with consecutive enrollment.
