Introduction

Students of Olympic Ballet have the privilege of study as well as the responsibility of meeting the standards of the school.

Attendance

Regular Attendance and Timely Arrival is enforced for discipline and safety in student progress. Ballet is strenuous and challenging as well as joyful. Dancers need consistency to achieve their goals. Missed Classes may be made up in alternate classes of the same level or below by calling the ballet office for special placement.

Extended Absence

Extended Absence due to Illness or Injury must be reported immediately to the office with a written statement from the attending physician. Special consideration may be given when the attendance is affected for more than two weeks.

Regulation Attire

Regulation attire, as specified by class level, is enforced. Hair must be pulled back and neatly secured for all classes. No jewelry may be worn during classes. Pointe Shoes must be worn in all pointe classes unless special permission is granted.

Conferences

Conferences with the instructors must be scheduled in advance through the office. Please do not discuss the program during class time.

Insurance

Personal Medical Insurance is the responsibility of each student. Olympic Ballet School, its faculty and staff shall not be held responsible for any injury or illness which occurs while studying at Olympic Ballet.

Photographs

Photographs taken of students may be used for promotion of Olympic Ballet at the discretion of the Artistic Directors.

Tuition Issues

Tuition Payments are non-refundable. The ballet office does not bill for tuition. Students withdrawing for medical reasons may receive credit with a doctor's written statement. Payments that cannot be made as scheduled should be discussed with the School Director. A late payment fee of $10.00 is enforced for payments received 10 days past the due date. A check return fee of $15.00 is also enforced.
