CLASSICAL BALLET
LEVEL 1
For children in 2nd grade & up, or by placement
Classes are hour-long, twice per week. Beginning ballet barre and center work are introduced with a focus on terminology and continued emphasis on developing flexibility, coordination, and musicality.
Dress Code
White leotard, pink or skin colored tights and ballet slippers; hair secured neatly away from face in a bun for girls; white T-shirt, black tights, white socks and white shoes for boys. Dress code leotards are available for purchase in the school office.

LEVEL 2
For children in 3rd grade & up, or by placement
Classes are twice per week with an increased focus on developing attention span with longer classes, and a focus on ballet class etiquette. Extended barre work is introduced as well as elementary combinations in the center, and there is a continued emphasis on increasing flexibility, strength, coordination, and musicality.

Marine blue leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers; hair secured neatly away from face in a bun for girls; white T-shirt, black tights, white socks and white ballet shoes for boys. Dress code leotards are available for purchase in the school office.

LEVEL 3
By placement, minimum age is 8
Classes include a complete barre and further development of center work, including traveling combinations from the corner. In addition to ballet class three times per week, Level 3 students are introduced to Jazz class once per week.

LEVEL 4
By placement
Focus on improving technique and strength, and preparing for pointe work. Supplemental disciplines such as jazz and contemporary are included in the curriculum.

By placement
One hour and a half-long technique classes plus full class on pointe to strengthen pointe work. A rotating full curriculum including pas de deux, variations, contemporary, and conditioning. Emphasis in developing artistry and presentation of technique. Dancers from level 6 may be invited to perform alongside company dancers in Olympic Ballet Theatre productions; rehearsals will be separate and in addition to the classes listed below.
